That selector selects an element called active, that is inside an anchor with the class name
"events" the anchor is hovered. I suspect that since there isn't an element type "active" that your
selector isn't going to select anything. Did you mean -
a.events:hover, a.events:active {
background-position: 0 -166px;
}
??? creating a selector for both the hover and active states?
