[css-d] Can I "pop up" a div?

Sent by Stephanie Sullivan on 31 January 2002 11:11

Well, I worked out most of my little buggies in this site.. and I'm
functional everywhere... but I"m still trying to work out this printing
thing... :( I need an expert brain to help here...

Help me with my logic ... I'm using an experimental page (so as not to screw
up the main site)... I moved my inline positioning styles to an external CSS
file (separate from the main one)... I was thinking that I could just have a
link on each scroller layer (at the bottom) that said "print this page"...
then I could use javascript to pop open a box with that "layer" in it...

That's where my expertise breaks down... how the heck do I do that? Or can
I? When I tried a typical "open browser window" behavior, it (of course)
wanted a URL... ugh. What should I do? How do I get a layer to pop open in a
new window?

Thanks for any ideas and your expertise... :)
