I agree on that. You'll find hardly any spans on my pages, and also
only a few DIVs. I confess using .centered classes sometimes though!

But I can imagine circumstances were the color is just a little
decoration, and doesn't carry any meaning. A slightly different color
for words like the company name can be useful, just like first-letter
and first-line styling generally hasn't got anything to do with
semantics. But there is no pseudo-element ":company-name".

But this discussion is now becoming 'unpractical', so maybe it
shouldn't be continued - we don't want to offend the list chaperone :)
