[css-d] IE links outline problem

Sent by Jonathan Bloy on 31 January 2002 11:11

I'm playing around with an all css design (similar to ALA's) where the
links are on the right and the content's on the left. The links are also
enclosed in a div that I'm using for a hover effect on the background color.

I've got an annoying problem with IE (at least in the windows version, I'm
afraid to ask what the mac version does). When you click on the links in
IE, the little dotted outline extends all the way to the left side of the
screen (over the content portion). In NS6 and Opera it stops at the border
between the links column and the content column.

Is there anything I can do to get the dotted lines to stop at the border in IE?

You can see the page in question at http://www.bloy.net/library/index.html

And the style sheet at http://www.bloy.net/library/ocstandard.css

Thanks for your help.
