To be honest, browser typographical abilities are very primitive. If anybody was even close to implementing font-stretch, it'd be Safari. IE and Mozilla have a long way to go before they can even start considering this. Font-stretch is a pretty bad term considering the spec'd ability simply looks for existing font variants.
