Hi Ross,
If nothing else can be applied (see Paul Novitski's remarks), what about
the IE png hack with the pngbehaviour.htc file (WebFX adapted IE
alpha-imageloader)? - I know can be risky, for sometimes (especially
with a large amount of png's) it is slowing down (or even breaking) IE's
page loading, but maybe it can work in your case. See:
* http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/designhulp/ie_png_hack.htm
* http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/transparency/png-gradient-proefje.htm
Page texts are in Dutch, but code is universal; most links go to EN info
pages. ;-)
Both examples are html-validating. The first one is not css-valid, due
to the non valid property "behaviour". If this property is embedded in a
conditional comment for IE, it is passing the css validator too (second
example).
Greetings,
francky
