Negative margins. Object content to the left and above the object's own
content area doesn't seem to be clickable in Mozilla.

Since the size of the navbar is known in advance you shouldn't need to
use the left: 50% centering trick, surely? Can't you simply position
each link in pixels from the left of the centered navbar div?
