Ha, strange! In moz it doesn't work, in N6.2 it does.

It's inconsistent, but if ms held the release of the input feature to
release it along with the select, we would be complaining that IE didn't
support even styling the input, so I guess they thought it'd be better
to release a half-baked version than nothing at all. you can call it
inconsistent feature, or you can call it partial support.
