Try playing with something like this:

<div style="color:black; background-color:yellow; margin-top: 1.5em;">
    <div style="border: solid black .1em; width:20%; float: left;">one</div>
    <div style="border: solid black .1em; width:20%; float: left;">two</div>
    <div style="border: solid black .1em; width:20%; float:
left;">three</div>
    <div style="border: solid black .1em; width:20%; float:
left;">four</div>
</div>
