Hey gang...
I am working on an area of my personal site that I donated to my high school
graduating class. The URL is:

The replacement for this page (and the subject of this missive) is not yet
posted since I don't have this issue covered.
Here is my plan: I have both a map and an aerial photo that I have created
on separate html docs that I wish to link as popup windows to a couple of
places on the page (i.e., click on the link and a javascript opens a window
of a specified size, sans control bars & scroll bars, and displays the map).
I have the javascript and it works well.
Here's my issue: I included a hidden <div> on the popup page and here's what
I envisioned happening: the user clicks on the image, and the image *and*
the hidden <div> print out (a javascript popup would tell the user to click
the image to print the page). Just for descriptive purposes, the hidden
<div> contains directions and a reminder of the address, date and time of
that particular event for handy, in-the-car reference for the attendees.
I figured that I could simply link the *image* to a print stylesheet, rather
than using a text link (same thing, no?). Here's where I have difficulty:
how do I switch the visibility of the hidden <div> so that it prints
properly? The last time I used "@media print" & "@media screen" -- my layout
collapsed.
In a related question, are the @media commands dependent on the @import
command, in that: you *must* have the @import command in the declarations
before you can properly use the @media command? Or can the @media command
stand alone in the declarations *without* using @import?
Or have I missed something far more important? I'm cornfoosled...
