It is strange, but if you let the Web do its thing without restraint,
she will cooperate. She'll just space stuff out, and around, and about,
and more or less lay stuff where /she/ likes-- things just seem to fall
in place. It is your feeble attempt to control her by the use of
*absolute positioning,* setting *heights* on containers, and *freezing
fonts*(using points) that is driving /you/ crazy.
If you delete each and every instance of absolute positioning, the
heights on all containers, and all font-specification throughout your
style sheet, the browser(any browser) will position your stuff, and set
the spacing, for you. The fonts will be readable, they will zoom without
breaking the layout, and all will be well in the kingdom-- even in the
Typography exists to honor content.
