Rounded corners and Transparent GIFs

You can have explicit divs in the original markup instead of using
javascript of course.

This method doesn't give fuzzy, anti-aliased edges for arbitrary
backgrounds (which is to say it doesn't use PNG alpha channels).  My
examples, and the final site this is intended for, all use dark blue
(but not flat-color) backgrounds, so I use an image editing tool to
make the corners work reasonably well against that general family of
background colors.
