body: margin=0 and padding=0, not working in Firefox or Opera

Sent by SED on 19 March 2006 02:02

I'm trying to locate the page body to x=0, y=0. It's ok in IE6 but when I
view it in Opera or Firefox I get one empty line before the content. Why?

Here is a sample code:
<html>
<head></head>
<link href="main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<body><div class="container">bla, bla, bla</div>
</body>
</html>

main.css:
body {
 background-image: url(img/backgr.jpg);
 background-repeat: repeat-x;
 background-position: top;
 background-color: #aad1ad;
 text-align: center;
 margin: 0px;
 padding: 0px;
}
