Without seeing the code it's hard to know. Do you have some sample code or a page we could look at?

That said, it's possibly floated content escaping from it's parent element. In your CSS, try giving
the div a defined width or height and setting the overflow to hidden, for example:

..yourdiv {
	height: 1%;
	overflow: hidden;
