After reading Matthew Levine's "In Search of the Holy Grail" in ALA (
http://alistapart.com/articles/holygrail/ ), I've been trying to make
a "all liquid holy grail" wherein all the columns are
percentage-width. I seem to have it working in the following browsers:
Mac: Firefox 1.5, 188.8.131.52; Safari; Opera 8.51.
PC: Firefox 1.5, 184.108.40.206; Opera 8.51; IE6.
(I know that it breaks all to pieces in IE5/Mac; I'm not sure about
IE5/PC, but I sure it does there too.)
I'll admit to being a novice when it comes to CSS, so I'm hoping folks
on the list can help me test this/improve it. Here it goes:
One problem includes one of the hacks I'm using: the " _property: "
hack, to send styles to IE only. This of course invalidates the CSS,
so I'm hoping there's a better solution.
Any helpful suggestions, on or off the list, are greatly appreciated.
I claim no originality for this, so if someone's already created
something similar, please send me the link so I can check it out.
