[css-d] Float problem

Sent by Ben Ryan on 25 January 2002 08:08

I've got a problem in IE5/MAC and Op6/Windows where images that are floated left, actually don't.

The competition images, as stated, are supposed to float left - and they do in all I've tested
(Moz/NN6.2.1/IE5+/Op5+ - Win and Mac), except those two
browsers.

As far as I can see, their specs are more or less identical to those on the main splash page (News
items), and I had even used those style decs
initially, but created new ones to try and get it working, to no avail.

As far as I can tell, the issue is almost certainly in the container divs for the competition
streams - as when I removed those divs, the floats
seemed to work, however that in turn created a problem of each section running into the next,
despite a "clear: left" dec. being set on the text block.

Any suggestions?
