I see no errors, and I don't get crashes either. Yay me! :-)
However, I notice you have a script that writes a referrer-logging image
to the page when there's a referring page (even if it's another page at
climbtothestars.org - you might want to change that). Unfortunately it
writes it inside the <head>, which is invalid, and also Mozilla will
reserve slightly more space for it, because it considers it an inline
image, taking up a whole text line. For this reason it will push down
the statically-positioned elements on the page more than IE will, which
might be causing something like the overlap you mention.
