Are you rendering Palatino Linotype or Georgia in your browsers?
Browsercam <> is 
rendering Georgia in Mac/ie5.2 and Safari; and, Palatino Linotype in  XP.
And if it is Georgia on your end, would specifying TNR/Times for the 
drop capital  help or hinder?
Either way, mince no words if in your opinion the drop capital colors 
and size are just too large overwhelming for the page.
