Header problems on resizing - Repost

Thanks Jim.
I had a similar test setup but was unhappy with the way the
header swells away from the logo graphic at the largest text
sizes. I am trying to avoid non-basic markup and styles too
so the min-width javascript for IE isn't appealling.
I think I'm going to live with the header as I've got it now
it seems to work satisfactorily through sensible page resizes
and text size changes.

Thanks all who have contributed thought/ideas :-) Greatly appreciated.
