In fact, this doesn't even strike me as a real bug, more a 'difference
of opinion'. The select box is rendered acoording to the selected text's
width, instead of the widest element available in the list. Just look at
the demo page mentioned in the bug report.
Obviously (to me that is), this has nothing to do with the forementioned
'incredible resize' bug.
