[css-d] Using CSS2 to format printed output

Sent by David Munsey-Kano on 29 January 2002 12:12

I recently attempted to use the information from
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/page.html to force a page break, for
printing purposes, in one of my pages. I could not get it to work so I
fell back on outputting two separate pages, one for each printed page.

I am sorry I don't have the attempt anymore, (but you can see the
fall-back at
http://dcis-oracle.dartmouth.edu/libhours/display.php?period_id=current&printer=1
if you are curious) so I guess this has to be a general question. Are
the paged media features of CSS2 supported by any current browsers? I
tried this with IE 5.0 and NS 4.7 with no luck.

Thanks, David
