This actually wasn't one of your questions, but is one of my pet peeves:
I'd suggest you put little downward pointing arrows next to the header
menu items that have submenus. Makes it easier to tell if there should be
more content, instead of wondering if the site is broken.
As for the rest, I'll leave to the list, as it's quittin' time at work and
I'm outta there.
