Positioning issues

Sent by Ben Sytko on 10 April 2005 05:05

Hello,

I've been working on a site for my friend, and I decided to use CSS for
the design instead of tables for a change. I've ran into a few problems,
and was hoping for some help. The test site is located at:
http://www.techgage.com/test/.

Here a few things I've tried to fix but failed:

1.) On the main page, the MMO News column is positioned a few pixels too
low. By using the Web developer tool bar for FF and turning on "Outline
block level elements" you can see the problem. I don't know how to fix
this. This is also present on a few other pages for both the main column
and the side column as well. Strangely, the problem doesn't exist in IE6
but appears in FF. I've not tested any other browsers at this moment.

2.) This is somewhat related to #1. By clicking on a Review title you
will get to the Review page. In FF, you'll see that both the main column
and the side right column are displayed a few pixels too low again. I
seemed to fix this in IE by putting everything in a div with 100% width.

If anyone could be so kind to take a look at these issues it would be
greatly appreciated. If anything needs to be explained more clearly
please let me know.

Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben Sytko
