basic image css question

I guess I am just not getting it, I still get this darned underline on the
XML logo:

I even tried adding a class to the image of "normal" and making:

..normal:hover {
border-bottom: 0;
}

and it still gets the hover treatment.  No images that are linked should
show anything other than the image, no hover, no visited, nothing, nada,
stumped :-)
