tabular data style problem

Sent by Sarah Atkinson on 31 March 2005 19:07

The difference is the content, like you said. Cells containing
"Bread/Margarine" in the April calendar force the cells to be wider than
perhaps you intend. There are several other long strings (words) in these
tables too: "Potatoes/Gravy" and more. How about adding a space on each
side of the slash characters. That is, assuming you have access to the
content so that you can change it; or get whoever does to make the change.

There are style/layout changes that could be made beyond that, of course,
to make the pages narrower.

Is there away to maybe make the table cells scroll instead of the whole table? or would this be
unadvisable? Hard to read, annoying etc.
