In case anyone's missed, it West Civ have updated Style Master, to version
4.0. For me, the thing that's worth the price of admission is that it has a
live preview of your page using the CSS:
<http://www.westciv.com/style_master/download/>
And for those who want to learn standards-based CSS, they've got a bunch of
templates to use as well, the bare bones of which could really help people
starting out.
It's not perfect: it doesn't seem to cope with PHP includes or any tech that
you might use to assemble your pages on the fly. Also, if you define your
styles incrementally--say, part of an ID is defined in one part of your
style sheet, but another part of it is defined in another--the interface
gets a little confusing. And I'd like to know which rendering engine it
bases its preview upon.
Oh--a big bonus for those using OS X: it doesn't run like a dog any more :D
This was why I didn't buy version 3.0. I might just get this, though :)
Best,
Ray
