problem with padding on nested list

As a general rule of thumb, when there is a discrepancy, Mozilla is 
right and IE is wrong.

You need to subtract your left and right padding values (18px per 
'level) from the widths of your LI A elements. (You seem to have set 
them to 150px wide (which is how wide your containing DIV is) but you 
have padding on them
