Hello. I'm working on a site right now that uses javascript to trigger
the visibility of DIVs (specifically, "layers" in Dreamweaver), and
I'm wondering if there is an easy way to do this with CSS.
I know about the Pure CSS Rollovers, which, when you hover over
something, an image pops up somewhere else. But is there a way to show
and hide whole DIVs (with images and text inside) when you hover over
a thumbnail?
The site I'm working on is http://www.cameronbennettart.com/portraiture/
I use Dreamweaver's Behavior function for Show-Hide Layers on each of
those thumbnails on that page. So when you click on a thumbnail, an
absolutely positioned div shows up on the right side. At the same
time, the function tells the browser to hide all the other absolutely
positioned DIVs that are set for the enlarged images.
The problem occurs when I add more thumbnails AFTER I set set the
"show" and "hide". Now I have more DIVs to consider, and I have to go
to every thumbnail and set more layers to "Hide".
If there is no CSS solution to this, please let me know off-list
whether I'm missing something. Like if there is a way to set one div
to "Show" and ALL OTHERS to "Hide" in one swoop instead of marking
them individually (set DIV21 to Hide; set DIV22 to HIDE; set DIV23 to
HIDE; etc). Or if there is a DW extension that does this.
Thank you.
STAN
