> Let me know when the new version is up and I'll take another look. Thank you very much, Roger! I must point out that although I have a fairly compliant browser at home to do this on (Firefox on a Linux machine), at work I only have IE/Win, so if I take a file I've checked at work and then modify it at home, I no longer know exactly what's happening in IE. (Yes, I know it's a truly cack-handed way of doing it!). The files I have put up are: http://www.futura.ision.co.uk/testy/test16a.htm There is no max-width or position set on swish-wrap, so the 'shuttling' effect of the swish div inside the swish-wrap div isn't working, and the swish div is absolutely positioned relative to its positioned container which is the body. http://www.futura.ision.co.uk/testy/test17a.htm I have put a max-width (along with an IE expression to do the same thing) on the swish-wrap div. However, the right hand column was flakey on IE (before I put a 'right-wrap' div on in order to fix the box model on Firefox - don't know if it's still the case) - when resizing the browser window, when it hit the 'max-width' the right hand column suddenly jumped sideways into the left hand column, and when I kept resizing the window up and down the swish randomly appeared and disappeared. The 'shuttle' works ok on Firefox though. Also, I relatively positioned the swish-wrap div which of course means it is positioned with respect to where it would have been in the content div, rather than on the body. http://www.futura.ision.co.uk/testy/test18a.htm I have put a min-width (and IE expression) on the swish-wrap div along with the max width. I got the same flakey behaviour in IE as before. http://www.futura.ision.co.uk/testy/test19a.htm I tried positioning the swish-wrap in the previous version absolutely rather than relatively. It just disappears and I can't understand why: I would have thought that it would be positioned absolutely off the body. I thought that maybe this was happening before because there was no actual content in the swish-wrap, but as I have put both a max-width and a min-width on it I thought this wouldn't happen any more. I've also looked at these 4 files on IE5.0/Mac, and there's a width problem along with the fact that it quite obviously doesn't layer the transparent layer over things (so I will have to somehow remove the swish from IE/Mac's site altogether). As you see, I've got myself in a right mess and I haven't even started on the drop-down menus yet!! I'm tempted just to drop the whole shuttle business completely...
