inserting a scrollbar fixes the symptom, not the problem. always try to
fix the problem.
sounds like the problem is that your image placement is determined by
your browser width. if that's what you want, that's fine, but it sounds
like you don't want that.
try positioning the image in a way that doesn't change based on browser
width.
