Font sizing

In theory - no difference at all except that a % is 1/100th of an em.
In practise, Internet Explorer has a problem with resizing text and
ems - this problem can be worked around by setting font-size: 100% on
the body (this then causes a problem with older versions of Opera, but
that can be worked around by setting it to 100.01% instead).

In theory it is the height of the character lower-case-x, in practise
it seems quite a lot of browsers make it half-an-em.
