Well, the above is wrong. Some browsers may accept it and render it, but it
is incorrect. It's worth learning the correcty syntax for pseudo-elements
and classes so that your intended result will be achieved in all compliant
browsers. See my post of last night for details.

The semi-colon is optional after the final property/value. In examples
provided it would be valid and should not have caused a problem. However, I
consider it good practice to include it anyway. This way if you later add a
new property following that one, you won't suddenly have the problem of
unexpected results due to the missing semi-colon.
