"clearing" absolutely positioned elements

Sent by Seona Bellamy on 14 February 2005 01:01

Hi guys,

I have on my page a containing div in which I have a few absolutely
positioned elements. The trouble is, the containing div doesn't stretch down
to the end of those absolutely positioned elements. I understand that this
is the expected behaviour for absolutely positioned elements, but I was
wondering if there was any way to get around it? Or, alternatively, is there
a way I can create the required layout without needing to use absolutely
positioned elements?

The section I'm working on is below the dotted line on the following page:
http://www.dare2.com.au/productsservices.php?Sections%5B%5D=1%2C9&Sections%5
B%5D=1%2C10&submit=Show+me

The CSS can be found at:
http://www.dare2.com.au/new.css (for the general site styles)
http://www.dare2.com.au/promoprint.css (for the actual voucher)

Also, if anyone picks up any other problems with the page, please let me
know (along with suggested fixes if possible).

Cheers,

Seona.
