Div with height that changes with content?

Neil-

I feel your pain. As it happens I have been struggling with the very same
issue all afternoon, have consulted the same page (above), applied the same
techniques, and have gotten the same disappointing results.

The top most item is clearing the right column's float, and subsequent
middle column content is way down the page.

I did discover one way of making it work. Float all the divs in the middle
column. Unfortunately, in my case that messes up the auto width, and when I
try to assign a percentage width, I run into issues with the righthand
column being displaced when the page is resized via font scaling. It may
solve your problems though.

As its the end of the day, and nothing else is working, I think its time for
me to retire to the parlor, pour myself a double scotch, neat, and wait for
someone smarter than myself to suggest a workaround for me to try come
morning. ;-)
