Question for Mac users on css problem

It looks fine on Mac Firefox 1.0 and Safari 1.0. Nothing goes off the
screen. I'm don't see what your Mac friends are talking about. A
horizontal scrollbar is there on most of the pages (but not the home page)
but only to scroll maybe half an inch to the right where there is no
content anyway.

.... Well, OK, now I see the problem. I just fired up Mac IE 5, and that's
probably what they're using. (When taking a bug report, you really need to
ask them what browser and version they're using. Mac users use many
different browsers. Safari is probably the most frequently used at this
point.)

In Mac IE 5.23, the menu (which you have floated on the left) goes the
full width of the window. Probably assigning the menu a width will fix the
problem. There are hacks you can use for Mac IE only if you choose to feed
the width only to this browser and keep width: auto for other browsers.
Anyway, it is a real mess on Mac IE, with other content still to the right
of the menu, off screen, which can be read by scrolling to the right.
