You could just make the borders the same as the background
color. I realize that there's a BG image, but in this case 
it's almost all one color. Gotta be better than what you got.

Face it. Because of current bugs, transparent borders are
not yet feasible. Nor is "position:fixed'. 
(god, I'd LOVE to use that)
