The yellow/white stripey background is a problem I think. Those stripes
are tough on your eyes. I find I can't comfortably look at the page
after 30 seconds or so. This may affect people with good eyes more than
with bad eyes. I think it is the combination of the yellow and white (2
bright colors) at work.
I'm not so sure about the font choice in the top menu. Looks like a
rather ugly monospaced on Safari. Particular, the small 'i' in
portfolio looks strange. Your site is called 'pixelmech' and you've
take this further with:
'pixellinks', but I was confused by that at first, and wonder why not
then 'pixelposts' above. If you do this word-play I think it would be
better to be clearly throughout the site rather than on just one
occasion.
