Briefly, I posted yesterday (a longer version of) this:
http://www.flatbottle.com/flatbottle/
http://www.flatbottle.com/flatbottle/flatbottle.css
The problem I'm having (aside from numerous other problems, which are
not for dealing with now!) is the vertical space occurring between the
masthead DIV and the main body DIV. It only happens in IE (Windows) 5
and 6, ......
To which I received the helpful response:
> Change: <div class="clearer"> </div>
> to: <div class="clearer"><!-- --></div>
This solved the problem, but now Firefox (Mac) isn't clearing properly
(or, in fact, at all).
Because the original problem was affecting only the masthead, and the
masthead looks fine in Firefox, I tried using my original clearer (see
above) further down the document. Clears fine in Firefox, but now
Windows IE6 WON'T SCROLL PAST THE CLEARER. So, on this page:
http://www.flatbottle.com/flatbottle/
Windows IE stops before the foot of the document. But perhaps this is a
problem with the emulator I'm using - I don't have access to Windows at
the moment. So my question is twofold: am I right in thinking the
scrolling isn't working, and if so, how do I fix it?
Cheers,
Virginia
