RE:Trouble with Fload Layout

I don't see any difference between IE6 and Firefox 1.0. All looks the same
here. Is it just my bad vision?

Hi all, I'm working on what should be a very simple CSS/Div based
layout, using two columns with floats. For some reason, it fails in
Mozilla browsers, but renders fine in IE6.

I was testing in IE6/Win when I was tweaking the width/height values in
the CSS, and the final numbers don't seem to add up, but they look great
on my monitor, then when I view them in Moz, the image in the right
float is obscuring the left floated column, and the footer won't clear
either.

When I apply "Clear: left;" to the right hand column/image, it puts it
below the left column/image in IE6, as I would expect, but is not what I
want. Oddly, when I use "Clear: both;" in the Footer div, it breaks the
right hand column in IE6 (not sure what Moz did with it).

A rough approximation of what I want it to look like is here:

navigation and the column borders have been updated...

Any help provided would be very much appreciated.

Regards,
