That's doing to depend on the theme the user has installed, and may also
depend on the operating system and settings within that operating system
(i.e. in Windows XP, the Plaskool-inspired "Luna" theme is a lot bulkier
than the Classic theme. And then there are countless other themes
available on the internet, besides the two included with the operating system).

You're probably better off using dimensions other than pixels, so you're
not limiting yourself to a single resolution. CSS has percentage
dimensions specifically for this purpose. That way, if someone happens to
be running at 640x480 still, they won't see an enormous page they need to
scroll around, and if someone is running in 1600x1200, they won't see a
postage stamp of a web page.
And what about people who don't maximize their browser? I never do.
And what about people running their browser in kiosk-type fullscreen mode?
There are too many factors out there to come up with a reasonable answer to
your question, I'm afraid.
