Center image and text in a link

Ok I got it, this is an IE bug although it does what I had in mind.

If I use margin: 0 auto; as you suggested then it works nice in FF but in IE 
the links take 100% width!!
I have to use a certain width at the li element BUT I don't want to. They 
don't have all the same width so I want the link to wrap around the "title" 
of the a.

The only solution I thought is to use "margin: 0 auto" for Firefox and use a 
diiferent rule (the one I already use, even if it is wrong implementation) 
for IE.
Is this ok? or do you have a better solution?
