Hi all,
I¹ve started a redesign of this site I recently did:
http://www.pilatesworks.be
Nothing major but I wanted to clean up the code (a lot of superfluous spans
and classes in the current code) and tweak the markup it a little so
it renders better without style sheets. The look of the site is to remain
more or less the same as it is now.
XHTML and CSS (all validate) are at:
http://www.pilatesworks.be/redesign
Eevrything renders as it should on Mac: Safari, Firefox, IE5 and Opera (all
latest versions) and on Win XP: Firefox, Netscape, Mozilla (latest
versions).
Only good ol' IE6 gets two things wrong:
1. The listbullet image I use is right next to the text when there should be
some space between them.
2. the main navbar doesn't sit flush to bottom of the main photograph,
instead there's about 30px of bottom margin added. The blue border should
sit above the white background of div#main and this is exactly what you get
in all abovementioned browsers.
If I use the *html hack (adding a 30 px negative bottom margin to the <a>
tags ) I can get it flush, but then I lose the blue bottom borders, they
just don't show up then. Besides I don't like to use hacks...
Sorry for the long explanation, just check any of the three pages there in
IE and another browser and you'll see the difference...
Any and all help appreciated!
