I am a relative newbie to CSS and want to do something that I'm not
sure can be accomplished.
I have a drop down menu, top level is horizontal and drop downs are
vertical. The vertical menu items have a 2px margin between them. When
you hover over a menu item, its sub menu displays. Obviously, when you
roll off the menu item, that sub menu disappears. I want to be able to
have a little hover "wiggle room" around the sub menu item boxes, so
that when you roll your cursor down the vertical menu, it doesn't
disappear when the cursor hits the 2px space between each menu box.
This effect is partially working (I haven't been able to figure out
why) when you hover over the "publications" link. The 2px area between
the sub menus stays active, like you are hovering, except sans pointer.
(This seems to work in the whole area directly below the publications
item, even in the area to the left of the sub menu). I hope that makes
