I considered that, but am concerned that the menus wouldn't work properly,
or am I wrong?

Sorry, should have updated my message - I have managed to do a few tweaks
since the original message - this one has now been resolved.

At the moment I am working around this by setting the width for the menu
to be pretty wide - some stuff is still wrapping, but have currently set
it as a compromise.

OK, thanks - they are only appearing in FireFox so guess that is it.
