When you put the bullet hidding style in the 3 6 and 7 bullets are 
still there, they just aren't shown, so the numbering appears to be 
wrong.

What I think you need to do is embed your sub lists in the LI that it 
is associated with:

<li>Orange</li>
<li>Apple
     <ol>
        <li>Coconut</li>
        <li>Honeydew</li>
     </ol>
</li>
