Now it should be noted that this isn't ruling them out because they 
are a bad idea, just because nobody has figured out a way of 
implementing them "trivially".

It would be nice to know that somebody somewhere is at least giving 
this thought since, you know, the point about CSS is its capabilities 
and ease of use, not its implementation. As CPU speed and installed 
memory continue their relentless rise, this is going to become a 
non-issue.

   NB. not CSS - just an overview of how developers should not be
   constrained by present day limitations

Of course, even if one browsers manufacturer implemented it, it 
wouldn't be much until it had been folded into the next batch of 
recommendations and implemented by the others.
