positioning a navbar at the bottom of the page

Sent by Craig Snyder on 30 November 2004 19:07

Hi all ::

I've been trying to work out the best way to position a horizontal navbar at the bottom of a page
and am unsatisfied with the results so far. Two example pages are online:

A floated bar:

An absolutely positioned bar using "A List Apart" hacks:

Neither is working as I'd like, and I wonder if anyone has tried something similar that might be
helpful to me. Thanks in advance for any tips you might have.
