I'm unfamiliar with doc types... I've found http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html but I've no idea what i'm supposed to be using. The hover seems to work in everything BUT IE.... same for the display: block; any way to get these working in IE so no way for background and nav bars etc to stay fixed in IE? now validating ok apart from doctype :) Cheers, Jack LW Ellis wrote: > I'd start with declaring a doc type... > Without one you throw IE into quirks mode. > Fixed back ground doesn't work in IE. > Hover only works on A tags in IE nothing else. > Validate your html and css. > http://validator.w3.org/ and http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ > > I learned from this list...design for Mozilla, test in IE.... > > Good Luck! > > Later, Leon > A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject. > Sir Winston Churchill ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL-REMOVED]] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
