Infernal overlapping border in IE

Some tinkering with various style properties reveals that you have two 
strange offsets - one is the offset between #minicontainer and .logo, 
and the other is the offest between #minicontainer and #sidebar.

The only simple solution that's coming to mind is to change the top 
property on .logo to 2px from 1px... though I suspect I'm missing 
something here.

(Why was it assigned a *class* of 'logo' and not an id, given its unique
relationship to the rest of the document?)

Feel free to followup with background on what you've tried.
