Table within float problem

Sent by Jordan Elver on 28 October 2004 15:03

Hi All,
I'm just completing a 2 column float layout and I have a problem with tables
in my content float.

I have a navigation div floating left, like:

#navigation {
	float: left;
	width: 198px;
}

and a content column:

#content {
	margin-left: 200px;
	padding: 20px;
}

When I put a table with say a 500px width on it. The content div it's
contained within is always pushed out. We use a CMS system, over which I
cannot control the HTML produced.

Any ideas what I can do?

Sorry, I can't provide a url at the moment.

Thanks for any help.
Jordan
